It is with sadness, as well as gratitude, that we announce Lynne Peacock is stepping down from our Board of Trustees.
Lynne began as our chair 10 years ago and over that time has helped the organisation develop hugely. Through her leadership, Lynne has made sure that people with learning disabilities get the fantastic support they want and need.
Gabby Machell, CEO of LDN London, says: “As Lynne Peacock steps down as Chair of LDN London after ten years of dedicated leadership, we extend our sincere thanks for her exceptional commitment, integrity, and clarity of purpose.
Under her leadership, LDN London has grown significantly, expanding its reach and impact to become London’s learning disability charity.
Lynne has been a consistent champion of inclusion and a strong advocate for employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities, ensuring this remained central to our mission and growth.
We are delighted that Lynne will be taking up the role of Chair at Mencap and wish her every success in this important next chapter. She leaves LDN London with our deepest appreciation and respect.”
