Learning disability charity, the Westminster Society has changed its name to LDN London to reflect the work they now do across London.

Long established, award-winning charity the Westminster Society for people with learning disabilities has changed its name to Learning Disability Network London (LDN London).

The charity has close to 60 years expertise in providing services for people with learning disabilities and their families in Westminster and other London boroughs.

Gabby Machell, CEO said: “Our new name is a better reflection of the charity’s work and represents an evolution from our origins as a local parent led organisation focused on Westminster to a London wide provider of services. As LDN London we look forward to our continued focus and commitment in changing the lives of learning disabled Londoners for the better.”

She added: “This new name reflects our ambition to be the organisation of choice for learning disabled Londoners and we believe is more descriptive of what we do and what we are trying to achieve”.

LDN London will be celebrating the name change through a host of events during Learning Disability Week in June.
