LDN Eats is our exciting new catering initiative, designed to provide high-quality event catering while creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
This social enterprise will not only serve delicious food – from canapés and afternoon teas to street-food style stalls – but also demonstrate the value of inclusive workplaces.
At the heart of LDN Eats is a talented team of people with learning disabilities who take on roles in food preparation and event support. Each team member is fairly paid at the London Living Wage rate and will develop their job-related skills, as well as broader life skills.

People with learning disabilities often face significant barriers to meaningful employment. 94% of people with learning disabilities don’t have a job and are not given the opportunity to have one. Many express a strong desire for work, but simply don’t get the chance. And many workplaces don’t make the adjustments that would allow them to do the work.
Through consultation with our co-production group, employment has consistently been highlighted as one of the most important needs.
LDN Eats will:
This initiative also supports London-wide objectives for Fairer Communities and a Fairer Economy, by equipping people with valuable life and employment skills, while contributing to healthier, more independent lifestyles.
Until now, LDN Eats has been guided by our Director of Services, a former chef and supported by the LDN operations team and we have now created a dedicated Head of Catering role.
