#CoronaKindness

We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well at this difficult time. As we find ourselves keeping apart to keep well, we would like send our best wishes to everyone who supports the Westminster Society.

We wanted to share with you some acts of #CoronaKindness from our local community that have really made a difference to the support we are able to provide.

Our services have been finding it increasingly difficult to get hold of provisions and cleaning products and equipment so it has been amazing to have so much support from local businesses:

After the closure of pubs was announced the Lord John Russell Pub in Islington kindly donated all of their cleaning materials to one of our supported living services.

Thanks to the help and support from the Marble Arch Partnership they have helped to coordinate donations from the Grosvenor Casino of frozen food and a donation of 1000 eggs from the Hitlon Hotels.

Charter House Accountants in Harrow who have supported KCA (our partner charity in Harrow) for the past year have offered free financial advice to anyone we support and their families who have been affected by COVID-19.

Neighbours in the block of one of our service users have offered to go food shopping for him and told him to call them if he needs anything and an ex employee has got in touch to volunteer to to drive round and drop off food or anything people need.

Out of extremely difficult circumstances it is amazing to see how the local community are pulling together to help and support one another and ensure we can get through this crisis.
