Would you like to work for an award-winning charity? Are you a natural leader who thrives on driving performance, building strong teams, and delivering results? We’re looking for dynamic Team/Service Managers to lead, motivate, and elevate our growing team.
Location: Westminster, Camden, Islington, and Hammersmith & Fulham
Who we are:
LDN London is an award-winning charity with over 60 years’ experience of supporting people with learning disabilities to stay healthy, be safe and live well.
Our services include supported living, domiciliary care, residential care, outreach, respite and complementary activities and support. We help people we support and their families to choose what’s right for them.
We have fantastic opportunities for several experienced Team/Service Managers to join our teams. We have positions available in various boroughs within London (as listed above). The Team/Services Managers manage our services ensuring safe, person-centred, and high-quality support for adults with learning disabilities.
About the role:
The Team/Service Manager will hold overall responsibility for the effective leadership and smooth operation of our services. This includes ensuring that the individuals we support receive safe, responsive, and person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and choice at every stage of their journey.
The Team/Service Manager will lead by example, embedding a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement within your team. A significant part of your role will involve developing and motivating staff, ensuring they feel confident, competent, and supported in delivering high-quality care. You will provide clear direction, regular supervision, and practical guidance to enable your team to meet both individual support outcomes and wider organisational objectives.
The role also requires strong operational oversight. You will monitor service delivery, staffing levels, compliance, and performance to ensure the service meets regulatory standards and internal quality expectations. You will take proactive steps to address any concerns, manage risk effectively, and implement improvements where needed.
As a Team/Service Manager, you will play a key role in empowering the people we support to live independent and fulfilling lives. This requires you to work with people who need assistance with every aspect of daily living, supporting people with autism, complex/mental health needs, old/age dementia and profound and multiples disabilities, who may have communication challenges as well as with people who are significantly more independent but vulnerable to coercion and control and who may reject support. People want to be part of the community and to develop independence skills and so understanding the principles of doing with and not for is important.
Working closely with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, you will act as the key point of contact for the service. You will champion person-centred planning, ensuring each individual has meaningful opportunities to develop life skills, access their community, build relationships, and achieve personal goals.
This is a hands-on management role that balances strategic goals with day-to-day involvement in the service. It is ideal for someone who is organised, resilient, values-driven, and committed to making a genuine and lasting difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.
The Team/Service Manager leads a team which provides the best possible care and support for people living within a supported housing service. The role requires you to create a harmonious, open, and positive working environment, where people are confident to speak up.
About you:
We are looking for candidates who are compassionate, values-driven leader with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities. Candidates who believe in promoting independence, dignity, and choice, and you lead your team with empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in supervising or managing staff within health and social care, and that you understand the importance of balancing quality care with strong operational oversight. You are confident in making decisions, managing risk, and responding calmly and effectively in challenging situations.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of person-centred practice and positive behaviour support, and you are passionate about ensuring individuals are supported in ways that reflect their preferences, strengths, and aspirations. You recognise that every individual is unique and advocate for inclusive, empowering approaches that promote community participation and meaningful outcomes. Candidates should have, or be working towards, RMA/LMC, Health and Social Care NVQ4 / QCF 5 or equivalent.
The post holder will be able to self-motivate and work independently whilst keeping in line with LDN London’s values. Most importantly, you are committed to making a real and lasting difference, not just managing a service, but leading a team that empowers people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, safe, and meaningful lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to further their career!
