Lead engaging weekend sessions that help children and young people with learning disabilities learn, grow and thrive.

Kids Can Achieve (KCA), part of LDN London, is expanding its high-quality SEND provision with the launch of a new Weekend Club in Ealing. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and confident Weekend Club Leader to lead Saturday and Sunday programmes for children and young people aged 5–17 with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

This is a highly rewarding role where every session you lead helps children and young people develop communication, independence, friendships, self-confidence and life skills. As Weekend Club Leader, you will:

  • Plan and deliver inclusive, creative and developmental sessions
  • Lead the staff team during each session, ensuring safe practice and positive behaviour support
  • Support young people to learn life skills, develop independence and build social connections
  • Deliver varied activities such as sensory play, dance, drama, sports, cooking, technology, arts and community outings
  • Implement support plans, PBS strategies and communication tools
  • Complete risk assessments, daily safety checks and emergency procedures
  • Identify and act on safeguarding concerns, always modelling safe practice
  • Maintain accurate digital records
  • Support reflective debriefs and promote a positive, resilient team culture

You will work closely with the Deputy Manager for After-School & Weekend Clubs and will be supported by our experienced SEND team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs
  • Can confidently lead sessions
  • Understands child development and inclusive practice
  • Uses Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred approaches
  • Communicates clearly with children, young people, staff, parents and professionals
  • Can plan high-quality, meaningful activities that meet a wide range of developmental needs
  • Understands safeguarding, risk assessments and emergency procedures
  • Is reliable, organised and passionate about improving outcomes for young people

We will also consider candidates who have the right experience, skills and values and are ready to take the next step in their career.

A relevant Level 3 qualification is required.

Flexible Working Options

This role will be based at our Ealing site however we offer genuine flexibility:

  • Saturday & Sunday core hours 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Option to work additional sessions during holidays at Harrow
  • Full-time option available (with extra hours at Harrow)
