We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Sessional Driver to join our team at Kids Can Achieve (KCA) in Harrow, providing safe and welcoming transport for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely drive children and young people aged 5–25 between home and KCA in Harrow.
  • Support passenger assistants and promote a calm, reassuring atmosphere during journeys.
  • Ensure seatbelts, harnesses, and wheelchair restraints are used appropriately and safely.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks, report any issues, and keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain journey records and incident reports.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with children, families, and KCA staff.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent driving skills, and a caring attitude.

You must have:

  • A full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (essential).
  • At least 2 years’ driving experience and be aged 21 or over (essential).
  • A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one).
  • A calm and respectful manner, especially when supporting children with additional needs.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safety, inclusion, and professionalism.
  • A Paediatric First Aid certificate and MIDAS training are desirable (or willingness to complete both).
