LDN London is an award-winning charity with nearly 60 years’ experience of supporting people with learning disabilities to stay healthy, be safe and live well.
We currently have a vacancy for a Respite Team Manager to join our respite services covering Westminster and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC).
The respite services offer crisis and planned stays to adults with learning disabilities in RBKC and Westminster. The Respite Service Manager and Team manager are responsible for offering a creative and flexible response to ever changing complex demands which include meeting guest’s needs within the environment and staff skills. We require an experienced manager to help run this service.
About the role:
We require an experienced, dedicated and skilled Respite Team Manager who wants to work in a challenging, rewarding and exciting service. The role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your potential, learn new skills and make a real and positive change to the lives of the people who use respite and their families and carers. Some of the challenges include regular and short notice changeover of people they support often under crisis themselves, supporting new and emerging needs and providing specialist support to those with behaviours of concern.
Applicants will need to have experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Autism or PMLD (profound & multiple disabilities). The successful applicant will be working in partnership with our services users, families, professionals and other organisations; therefore, you must be highly organised with strong communication skills.
The Respite Team Manager will also work closely with the Respite Service Manager, deputising in their absence and working closely with the management team at Kingsbridge Road (RBKC) and Alison House (Westminster).
You will be at the forefront of our services and need to promote LDN London’s core values, with a passion for supporting and caring, as well as the drive and energy to raise standards of support and service delivery.
