The Harrow Road Project

Help us reopen our building on Harrow Road for people with learning disabilities

Support our community hub

We are raising funds for a community hub on Harrow Road, to bring people together, tackle social isolation and address the effects of poverty on some of the capital’s most vulnerable people. This is our main fundraising goal for 2022.

With a refurbished building and a new member of staff, we will provide a range of activities and workshops. We aim to tackle the inequalities faced by people with learning disabilities, including around healthcare and employment.

We intend to run sessions on topics including how to access healthcare services, personal safety, digital skills, mental health awareness, sexual health and relationships, and sustainability.

We will teach people crucial life skills, tackle inequality, and increase people’s involvement in their local community.

The project will be a place where people can make friends and have fun, after the difficulties of the pandemic. We will encourage people to make meaningful connections and create a friendlier and more accessible place for people with learning disabilities.

You can donate to us through our Just Giving fundraiser.

Join the 60

We are looking for around 60 companies or supporters to each donate £1,000 or more to our cause.

This will raise the £60,000 we need for a refurbished and fully-operational community hub.

We would in turn thank you through a piece of art or a plaque in the reopened building.
