Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is when businesses get involved with the local community. This can take the form of fundraising, making a regular or one off donation, or encouraging staff to volunteer.

How can your company support LDN London?

LDN London services reaches both adults and children with a wide range of disability, and need within a number of London Boroughs. LDN London provides a range of creative and flexible activities that support people with learning disabilities and their families in their use of the local community whilst reducing social isolation, increasing inclusion, developing individual skills and raising health awareness. It also aims to enable people to live as independently as possible, maintain their personal dignity and understand their rights, whilst remaining healthy and active.

Most of our LDN activities require fundraised income to keep the projects alive. Corporate sponsorship would be an excellent opportunity for your company to get involved in your local community and make a real difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people living there.

Your team could spend some time with people with learning disabilities, organise a party or a day trip, or sponsor a LDN London on-going activity such as advice sessions, sports events, and activity groups such as Little Kickers sessions or the Come Dine with Us cookery group for example.

Take a look at some of the companies we are currently working with:

A team from George Birchall Ltd took part in the Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day this year raising funds for our Little Kickers group by doing a virtual cycle and row to Paris and back as well as organising a bake off.  The day was a great success with the whole of their team getting involved.  Some of the team came along to Rainbow Nursery to see the Little Kickers session in action and to present us with a massive cheque.  We are very grateful to all the team at George Birchall Ltd and look forward to working with them more in the future.

Barclays Wealth Management sponsor the My Money sessions at the our LDN Drop-In in Westminster and Camden. They donate the expertise from staff members who volunteer to give advice and tips on budgeting and basic maths.

The sessions are fantastic and everyone who attends thoroughly enjoys themselves as well as learning crucial life skills which allow them to live their lives more independently.

We have been working with Sage Publishing for a number of years and they have organised trips out to various places including bowling and to the Snow Centre.

Our trip to the snow centre recently was a fantastic day out which all who attend loved.  It was a great experience to go somewhere new and do something completely different that our members would not usually be able to experience.  The team of volunteers from Sage Publishing were fantastic and built up a great bond with our members who attended the trip all of whom want to go again next year.
